Zim filmmaker commits suicide in The Phillipines

HARARE — Zimbabwean filmmaker and journalist, Violet Avoid, has reportedly committed suicide due to depression.

The influencer, who was in the Philippines shooting documentaries, took her own life after experiencing a stressful period.

A source said Violet had ingested rat poison.

“She was in the process of filing for divorce and was facing some cyber bullying. She leaves behind four kids, three girls and a boy,” said the source.

Fagio Marowa, said Violet was a member of the Young Zimbabwe Influencers.

He said Violet had once told him about her social life which was not going well.

Violet appeared in Malowe video by Andy Muridzo & Jeetaz Band.

She committed suicide just a day after celebrating her 33rd birthday in the Philippines. _*— HMetro*_
