Former Kaizer Chiefs defensive midfielder Willard Katsande landed a job at the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) as a soccer analyst.

Katsande was one of the key players during his days at Kaizer Chiefs.

Dictating play from the centre of the pitch, Katsande’s football intelligence was clear for all to see. From deep midfield, Katsande could scan the ground well before receiving a pass and knew even the opponents’ attack channels. He made many interceptions out of his imagination, and many thought he would be a coach.

Surprisingly, Katsande chose a different job after hanging the boots and is now a soccer analyst. After he shared the news on his Instagram, many fans loved watching him again. Former Kaizer Chief Lebogang Manyama celebrated with him, calling him his leader.

After Katsande analysed the game between Angola and Burkina Faso, he shared how happy he was on Instagram. “Tonite we go again ANGOLA 🇦🇴 vs BURKINA FASO 🇧🇫 . @sabcsport” he said, expressing his joy. “Thank you for the opportunity. @thabiso.mosia.12 you the best see you later 🙏” he finished, thanking his workmates for making him feel comfortable.

Katsande had been making strides with his Boss ya Mboka fashion line outside of football. Since his retirement, he worked tirelessly with his wife, selling their clothes.
