Zim’s growing real estate sector drawing world-class designers

ZIMBABWE’s booming real estate and property sector is drawing world-class home designers from across the globe.

Tapping into the growing real estate sector and suit changing tastes of property investors, a Chinese properties giant, Oppein International has expanded its presence in the Southern African region by stamping into the Zimbabwean market.

“These are welcome developments and we are seeing the property market trends changing, hence we think that having brands like these serves the market well.

“I am super excited by the product offerings by the Chinese Company and I think it helps to add value to the local property market and suit the advancing modern tastes,” said local property investors.

Oppein International Overseas Business Manager, Mr Gao Fei says Zimbabwe’s economy is proving a good bet for their long-term growth plans.

“For us as a company, we see Zimbabwe as a key market for our future growth plans due to its growing property and construction industry hence we have decided to partner with the local companies to serve the changing local tastes.”

President of the Institute of Architects Zimbabwe (IAZ), Mr Arthur Matondo says these developments are crucial in meeting the growing needs of property investors.

“It is critical that these big companies involved in custom-made home decor products to meet the special and unique needs of property investors. As Architects, we are keen to be aware of these latest developments but also be able to ensure that they are aligned to local regulatory and market needs.”

The Chinese company is already operating in many African countries and its arrival on the local scene helps to modernise the local real estate sector.
