Ministry Of ICT Partners With Ezekiel Guti Junior School In Chitungwiza

The Ministry of ICT and courier services on Tuesday partnered with Ezekiel Guti Junior School which is located in Chitungwiza in a bid to bring knowledge of computers to students.

ICT computer specialists from the Ministry trained over 400 young people from the local community on the ise of computers. The well-attended event was graced by the deputy minister of ICT Dingumuzi Phuti, with Amai Guti being the guest of honor. The event came at a time  the ZAOGA Foward In Faith Church prepares to celebrate the day of the late Archebishop Ezekiel Guti.

Archebishop Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti passed away last year on the 5th of May when he was 100 years. Commonly known as Baba, Guti was born in Chipinge in 1923 and passed on in May 2023. The month of May is a special month for the ZAOGA family as it is the one when the late visionary hero Baba Guti was born and also when the church was formed in 1960.

ZAOGA Forward In Faith has reached 169 countries in the world with the undiluted faith. Apart from preaching the gospel, the church has contributed immensely to the welfare of the people of Zimbabwe and other nations through the construction of orphanages, schools, universities, clinics in Mutoko and the Mbuya Dorcas hospital in Harare.

The 5th of May is the day when the church declared Professor Ezekiel Guti Day. On the day, celebrations are taking place countrywide and worldwid. The special event in Zimbabwe will take place in Harare.

A walkathon is the main event that will take place in the Grange on Saturday 4 May. The starting time will be 5am and finishing time will be 10 am. People will be walking in groups, distances to be covered will be 2,5km, 5km and 10km. Aerobics will also be done and this will be the center of attraction which will be led by a renowned fitness trainer.

”We shall also have a gospel concert at ZAOGA Forward In Faith church in Braeside in Joshua Nkomo Road, commonly known as Airport road,” said Apostle Muyambo, the Secretary General for ZAOGA.

“The musical concert will start at 1300 hours ending at 10pm.”

Some of the artists who are billed to perform include Sébastien Magacha, Fungisai Zvakavapano Mashavave, Sir Benjamin Rupapa, Pastor Lawrence Haisa and Pastor David Mavhuramiti among many others. Of special interest is the group that has jetted in from the United Kingdom called ”Free To Worship” getting ready for the concert” added Apostle Muyambo.
