NetOne conducts Health Awareness Campaign in Nyanga North

As part of the social responsibility mandate aimed at improving health service delivery in communities, information communication technology utility, NetOne donated essential hospital equipment to Elim Mission Hospital (EMH) in Ruwangwe, Nyanga North.

The donated equipment includes
wheelchairs, bedsheets, sunscreen lotion, baby scales,
blood pressure and sugar testing kits.

Guest of Honour, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs & Cultural Heritage, Hon. Chido Sanyatwe commended NetOne for its generosity and commitment to supporting the community.

“This donation will go a long way in improving the lives of the people in this community,” she said.

Regional Manager, Farai Matope, delivered a message from group chief executive officer Raphael Mushanawani:
“We’re proud to support the community of Ruwangwe and surrounding areas through this donation. At NetOne, we believe in giving back to the community and making a positive impact on people’s lives. We hope that this donation will make a difference in the lives of the patients and staff at EMH.”

Matope also emphasized NetOne’s commitment to supporting Government’s efforts in improving healthcare services in Zimbabwe.

“EMH will now be better equipped to provide quality healthcare services to the community, thanks to NetOne’s generosity. The company remains committed to making a positive impact in the lives of the people it serves resonating with Government efforts echoed in the mantra, leaving no one and no place behind for the achievement of Vision 2030. The national economic blueprint NDS1 clearly enunciates Government position in this regard.

Zimbabwe National Army, Lt. General Anselem Nhamo Vitos Sanyatwe attended the event demonstrating support for the kind gesture.

Thousands of people thronged Nyanga North braving the chilly, drizzling weather, to witness the occasion.
