ZERO WASTE MOVEMENT TAKES OFF IN SANYATI: CHAIRPERSON URGES COMMUNITY TO KEEP DISTRICT CLEAN

Sanyati District has embarked on an ambitious journey to become a litter-free zone, thanks to the Zero Waste movement which will be launched soon.
The district Chairperson of Zero Waste Movement, Tambudzai Sibanda popularly known as Mai Chou has appealed to residents, businesses, and visitors to join hands in keeping the district’s cities and growth points clean and free from litter.
The movement aims to promote a culture of responsible waste management, environmental conservation, and community pride through awareness programs and clean up campaigns.
The district chairperson emphasized that a clean environment is essential for public health, economic growth, and tourism development.
“We want to make Sanyati a model district for cleanliness and environmental sustainability,” said Mai Chou.
“We urge everyone to take ownership of this campaign and work together to keep our district litter-free.”
The provincial chairperson for Mashonaland west Mrs Hwani of the Zero Waste movement said they will do awareness campaign that focuses on encouraging proper waste disposal practices, conducting regular clean-up exercises, educating schools and communities on environmental conservation and collaborating with local businesses and organizations to promote sustainability.
Residents have welcomed the initiative, pledging their support to make Sanyati a cleaner and greener district. Let’s work together to make Sanyati a shining example of environmental stewardship!
