Youths in Sanyati Seek Funding for HIV/AIDS Awareness Film
By Thomas Faranando
Sanyati, Zimbabwe – A group of talented young filmmakers from rural Sanyati are passionate about creating a film that tackles the critical issues of HIV/AIDS disclosure and healthy lifestyle choices.
However, they need funding to bring their vision to life.
The group, comprising local youth aged between 18 and 25, has written a compelling script that explores the challenges and triumphs of living with HIV/AIDS in rural Zimbabwe. Their film aims to promote awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage healthy behaviors among young people.
“We believe that their film can make a real difference in our community and beyond so as arts organization we will support them on the technical side,” said Faith Maturure director of Creative Arts Network.
“But we need support to cover production costs and make our vision a reality.”
The group is seeking funding to cover expenses such as equipment, location fees, and post-production costs. They are reaching out to local organizations, businesses, and individuals to support their project.
“This film is a powerful tool for promoting health awareness and education among rural youth,” said Petros Chouya a Local Healthcare Worker.
“We fully support their efforts and urge others to do the same like what Creative Arts Network is going,” said Chouya.
Let’s empower these young filmmakers to create a film that can change lives and inspire healthy choices. Support them in cash or kind and help bring their vision to life!
