‘He Looked Like a Chigunduru’: Silent Killer Fails to Perform in Ngezi After Arriving Drunk and Dirty

Zimdancehall artist Silent Killer has been accused of failing to perform at a show in Ngezi.

The artist was supposed to perform at Ngezi Platinum last Saturday, but the promoter claims Silent Killer did not fulfil his commitment.

According to WhatsApp messages seen by this publication, the owner of Vista Entertainment accused Silent Killer of being too drunk to perform. The promoter described the Kufa Kana Kufenda singer as looking unkempt, with dust on his feet, suggesting he appeared as if he had walked from Harare to Ngezi.

When asked to explain what happened with Silent Killer, the unnamed promoter said:

“Hello. He failed to perform coz anenge anga akadhakwa bigtym. Coz shenha yaanga ayinayo ma1 munhu wachio takatoshaya kt aburuka mumota kana kt awuya netsoka.”

When asked about the incident, the promoter said they had left Silent Killer at a lodge, but the artist’s manager had left with him and returned to Harare without explaining.

“Ndakamusiya kuLodge manager wake akatiza naye,” the promoter explained.

Fortunately, other musicians who were booked for the event did perform, according to the promoter.

This is not the first time Silent Killer has faced such allegations. Earlier this month, he was arrested for fraud after failing to perform at an event he had been paid to headline.

In that case, Seh Wish Entertainment had engaged Silent Killer to perform at the Mambodo Birthday Bash on June 22, 2024. The promoter claimed they had paid the artist a $250 advance out of the $500 fee, but Silent Killer never showed up for the event or promoted it on his social media pages as agreed.

The promoter said they had tried to reach out to Silent Killer to request a refund of the advance payment, but the artist was “rude” in his response. iHarare
