HEARTLESS: Couple connives to Gang Rape Teenager

A HIGHFIELD man is being accused of allegedly raping a teenage girl from his neighbourhood, with the help of his wife, who even taught the teenage victim different sex styles.

Tendai Kamuchira, 29, and his wife, Wincie Farai, 46, were not asked to plead when they appeared before Harare magistrate Marewanazvo Gofa.

They were remanded in custody pending bail considerations.

The complainant is 17-years-old and her mother is Farai’s childhood friend.

In April last year, during the school break, the girl would visit the couple’s home and assist them with various house chores for a fee.

During the same school holiday, the couple’s co-tenant, only known as Mai Richard, requested the girl’s mother to let her stay with her and help her take care of her three kids.

She had found a job and had no one to leave her children with.

The girl and her mother agreed and she started staying with Mai Richard, who shares the same house with the couple.

Farai then approached the girl and told her that she liked her and even her husband loved her.

Farai allegedly promised her that they wanted to pay her school fees, buy her a laptop and cellphone.

The following day, Kamuchira proposed to the girl, who turned down his request.

Farai then approached her and asked her why she had turned down her husband’s proposal.

Farai allegedly ordered the girl to accept the proposal, promising to pay her school fees, buy her a laptop and cellphone.

But, still, she refused to accept the proposal.

Later that month, Farai requested from Mai Richard to let the girl sleep with her niece, who had visited her, and she agreed.

The couple, their niece and the girl all slept in one bedroom.

The couple slept on the bed while their niece and the girl slept on the floor. Around midnight, Kamuchira allegedly woke up and got into the girl’s blankets and started fondling her.

The girl woke up and he ordered her to keep quiet then took her to the bed where his naked wife was sleeping.

Farai ordered her to comply with her husband’s orders.

He raped her while his wife was watching and she returned to the floor to sleep.

The following day the girl went back to Mai Richard’s house and she did not disclose the case to her.

On several occasions, the girl would go to the couple’s home and would help them with chores and Kamuchira would rape her while his wife was watching and teaching her different sex styles.

The case came to light when Kamuchira started accusing the girl of cheating on him with his step son.

When the girl went to her sister’s house, she noticed that the teenager was often crying on the phone.

When she asked her why she was always crying, the girl disclosed that she had been raped multiple times by the couple, leading to their arrest.
