The Chinhoyi High Court has granted bail to Dexter Nduna, the Chairman of Zanu PF’s Resources and Mobilization, for violating local government by-laws.

Nduna was previously remanded in custody by the Chegutu Magistrates Court on fraud charges after he allegedly collected vehicle parking fees illegally in Chegutu.

It is claimed that Nduna misled motorists by stating that a company associated with him, Team Chapter, was authorized to collect parking fees on behalf of the Chegutu Municipality.

During his remand on October 15, 2024, Magistrate Amanda Chamisa indicated that the state had a strong case against him.

Nduna has paid a $200 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Chegutu Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

The controversial former Chegutu West MP, who has been pursuing a law degree at the University of Zimbabwe, recently made headlines after being seen wearing a graduation gown. This sparked widespread media interest as they sought to confirm whether Nduna had indeed graduated.
