Ruthless Barcalona thrash Real Madrid 4-0 in El Clasico

A brilliant second half performance helped leaders Barcelona thrash champions Real Madrid 4-0 in the first El Clasico of the La Liga season last night.
After a turgid first 45 minutes a brace from Robert Lewandowski and one each from teenage prodigy Lamine Yamal and Raphinha lit up the second period for Barcelona as they silenced the
78 000 home crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Polish marksman Lewondowski, the leading scorer this season, got his 13th and 14th goals inside two minutes before 17-year-old Yamal and Brazilian Raphinha completed the rout for Barca who moved six points clear at the top of the table.
Madrid, with Killian Mbappe, Ballon d’Or favourite Vinicius Jnr and Jude Bellingham pulling the strings, had no answer against the Catalans.
