First Lady confronts teen rebel who gained notoriety for insulting her mother in a viral video clip

First Lady Dr Auxilia Mnangagwa has taken a bold step in addressing a sensitive issue that has captured national attention in Zimbabwe.

The country’s mother figure recently intervened in a case involving a 14-year-old girl from Chinhoyi who had become the subject of widespread discussion on social media.

According to reports from The Herald, the teenager had gained notoriety for insulting her mother in a viral video clip.

The girl’s actions prompted the First Lady to seek her out personally to hear her side of the story.

Dr Mnangagwa’s involvement came after it was revealed that the young girl had been impregnated by a married gold panner named Munyaradzi Musarurwa.

The police are currently searching for Musarurwa in connection with the case.

In a compassionate move, the First Lady offered counselling to the troubled teenager.

Dr Mnangagwa said, “I sought out the child to hear her side of story and provide her with the appropriate counselling.”

The First Lady’s intervention aimed to mend the strained relationship between the girl and her mother.

As part of the counselling process, Dr Mnangagwa encouraged the young girl to apologise to her mother.

The apology was extended not only to the girl’s mother but to all mothers in Zimbabwe.

Dr Mnangagwa also focused on the girl’s future, guiding her towards making positive decisions.

“I made the young girl apologise to her mother and all mothers in Zimbabwe and make the correct decision to return to school after giving birth,” the First Lady explained.

This case highlights the ongoing challenge of early and unintended pregnancies (EUPs) in Zimbabwe.

The issue of teenage pregnancies has been a significant concern for the country’s leadership and health officials.
