TENDAI NDORO THANKS GOD AFTER ‘SUCCESSFUL SURGERY’ ON TUMOR UNDER ARMPIT

Former Orlando Pirates and Chicken Inn forward Tendai ‘Fire’ Ndoro has taken to Facebook to thank God following what he said was a successful surgery in South Africa on a tumor that developed under his armpit.

As previously reported by Nehanda Radio, Ndoro had been hospitalised in Durban amid concerns over his health.

While initial reports suggested he was battling diabetes, the former Zimbabwe national team striker clarified that he had a tumor under his armpit, not diabetes.

“Hello guys, I’m okay. I’m in the hospital, undergoing treatment for a tumor that developed under my armpit. It’s not diabetes. I’m sick, yes, but it’s not that serious,” Ndoro said in a video posted on Facebook, mixing Shona and English.

His statement follows a leaked audio recording of his mother discussing his condition with a friend from their neighborhood.

In the audio, she expressed concern about his health and the lack of communication from Ndoro.

“Tamuka mwanangu. Saka mkomana hana kuzokupindura here? Kutaura izvezvi kwandiri kuita kudai, Tendai ari muchipatara. Ariku Durban,” she said in the leaked audio.

“Munhu waarikugara naye ndiye akatoita zvekufona kutiudza kuti Tendai ari muchipatara sezvo anga asingatauri nesu. Sugar yake hanzi iri low zvisingaite.

“Zviri kundirwadza izvezvi kuti mari zvino ndoyiwanepi yekuti ndinomuona kana kumutora.

“Zviri kunzi maziso ake akawira zvisingaiti and akabuda mamota muhapwa. Parizvino ndiri panguva yakaoma mwanangu.”

Despite his mother’s distress, Ndoro said he is not seriously ill, praising God for a successful surgery.

“Congratulations to myself for the successful surgery I had this afternoon. It went well, the tumor in my hand was removed. Glory to the Almighty God for keeping us alive,” said Ndoro. *_-Nehanda Radio_*
