WHAT really happened to a passenger on a bus which was travelling to South Africa on Friday who suddenly lost his senses and started throwing his stuff, including cellphones, through the window?

That is the million-dollar question haunting scores of passengers who were on a Bless It Bus travelling from Harare to Johannesburg at the weekend.

Panashe Neshena, 31, even removed some of his clothes, after he slipped to what appeared to be a trance, and was about to remove his pair of trousers when fellow passengers intervened and stopped him.

Some of the passengers claim he was a victim of juju while others are saying only medical experts can explain the horror show they were subjected to on that trip.

“Tine munhu watiinaye mubhazi ririkuenda South Africa. Mukomana uyu angotangira kupengera mubhazi, paapinda angaachiratidza kuti munhu ari right, azongotanga kurasa zvinhu zvake, arasa macellphone ake asara netrouser chete,” reads a message posted by one of the passengers.

His condition deteriorated to such an extent that some people started fuelling speculation that he had since died.

However, the owners of the bus, Bless It Bus, dismissed speculation that Panashe died. The company said Panashe was now in the hands of South African police.

“On September 5, 2025, one of our passengers, Mr Panashe Neshena, who was travelling with us from Harare to Johannesburg, unfortunately became unwell during the journey.

“For his safety, he was assisted and is now at Bosman Police Station in Pretoria.

“His passport shows he was born on 28/07/1994. We want to clearly state that, contrary to some social media reports, Mr Neshena is alive.

“We are already in contact with two of his relatives, but if there is anyone who knows him and is closer to Pretoria, kindly proceed to Bosman Police Station or contact us to assist in ensuring he is safe and supported,” reads the statement.
