River Valley Properties commits to Empower Vulnerable Communities at the Midlands Independence Ball
KWEKWE: In a powerful tribute to its continued unwavering commitment to charity and national progress, the River Valley Group of companies has made a pledge to extend its support to vulnerable communities in the Midlance Province.
The pledge was made during the Midlands Provincial Independence Ball held on Friday in Kwekwe.
This prestigious annual event, hosted by the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Hon Owen “Mudha” Ncube is designed to raise essential funds for vulnerable communities throughout the province.
The event dovetails with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s mantra of “leaving no one and no place behind” as a central developmental philosophy aimed at ensuring inclusive economic growth and infrastructural development across Zimbabwe- aiming for upper-middle-income status by 2030.
The philosophy promotes grassroots development through devolution and targeted projects to reduce inequality and marginalization.
As a build up to the Independence Day celebrations, the Midlands Ball united business leaders, corporate partners, Politicians, Government officials, and civil society advocates in a collective mission to uplift marginalized households and support local welfare initiatives as we celebrate 46 years of freedom from colonialism.
The River Valley Group’s commitment to donate not only highlights its dedication to social responsibility, but also reflects the deep personal commitment of Group Chairman Engineer Dr. Mncedisi Dube and CEO Amb Professor Smelly Dube’s firm believe that the private sector and all entreprenuers have a pivotal role in nation-building beyond mere commercial interests.
“Supporting the Midlands Provincial Independence Ball aligns perfectly with our long-standing philosophy of giving back to the community,” said Prof Dube.
“We believe in empowering those in need and fostering sustainable development across the province.”
This generous contribution continues the River Valley Group’s legacy of philanthropy.
Since the inception of the Provincial Minister’s charity initiative, the company has consistently supported efforts aimed at improving the lives of others.
Renowned for its active role in community development, River Valley Group has previously spearheaded scholarship programs, disaster relief efforts, and local infrastructure upgrades.
With this latest pledge of money and school fees, the company reaffirms its commitment to driving positive change and inspiring hope in the communities it serves.
“Together, through collective action and generosity, we can build a brighter, more equitable future for all,” said the River Valley CEO.
