Controversial ZANU PF-linked figure Killer Zivhu has publicly defended Nelson Chamisa, dismissing claims that he received money or any financial inducement.

In a strongly worded statement, Zivhu described Chamisa as a self-reliant and disciplined politician, rejecting attempts to link him to alleged bribery or influence in the ongoing Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3) debate.

β€œChamisa never received money from anyone. He has his own job and business,” said Zivhu, adding that critics should address their concerns directly to President Emmerson Mnangagwa and ZANU PF instead of expecting Chamisa to respond.

He also argued that Chamisa is no longer formally aligned to any political party, urging the public to β€œleave the young man alone.”

Zivhu’s remarks sparked widespread discussion, especially given his association with ruling party circles and his recent outspoken commentary on opposition politics.

In a follow-up post on X (formerly Twitter), Zivhu highlighted Chamisa’s popularity, claiming large crowds would gather just to see him in public.

β€œIf he needed money, people would sell their donkeys for him. Stop the drama,” he said.

He further alleged that there are coordinated efforts to tarnish Chamisa’s image, suggesting some critics are being paid to discredit him.

The comments come amid heightened political tensions and debate surrounding constitutional reforms, reflecting Zimbabwe’s increasingly polarised political landscape.
