85 YEAR OLD MILLIONAIRE TOURIST FINDS LOVE IN MATAPI

What started of as an adventure of seeking a warmer ” sun filled African holiday ” for Pete Dunstan (85) of Leceister in United Kingdom, visiting Zimbabwe for the first time has turned into a Cinderella story.
Pete arrived in Victoria Falls on 17 December last year as an elder tourist , encouraged by his family to enjoy himself.
His wife Imelda( 65) is devastated after learning the millionaire octogenarian is now cohabiting with Melissa Zvomuya (24) in Matapi Mbare.
Pete has become popular with kids and adults alike because he often plays Father Christmas dishing out sweets for kids and alcohol for adults in dingy Matapi shebeens.
“Pete chibaba icho. Ndoo Sir Wicknell wedu wekuMatapi , hatidi naye. Nezuro akandichaira 6 pack yemaNyathi..,”Murisi Zondai ( 36) told The Citizen Zimbabwe .
So how did Pete meet Melissa and what has made him not want to go back to his family in UK where he has a 38 year old son and 30 year old daughter?
The Citizen tracked the lovey dovey couple who we found enjoying roasted nuts, sharing kisses and laughter.
“I didn’t want to go back to UK before visiting Harare. So I was looking for cultural artifacts at the local Musika in Mbarrey, that’s when I met this beautiful soul , she was a vendor there.”
Melissa was laughing and she says she has never loved any man better.
“NaPete tonzwisisana. I didn’t even know he is a millionaire until his wife called. She unsuccessfully tried to block his Visa cards so he couldn’t access his money but akatemera.”
Pete is angry when his wife Imelda is mentioned.
“I want to divorce her. She called me senile. Do I look senile to you? An 85 year old can be a president and run a country! I am not going back to UK, I will stay here with Mel.”
Some Matapi residents think Pete is under the spell of a love portion, mupfuhwira.
Ras Ayatollah ( 52) had serious allegations.

It still remains to be seen if Pete will go back to UK.
Mel doesn’t think so.
