MENTALLY-CHALLENGED WOMAN RAPED WITHOUT PROTECTION BY THREE DIFFERENT MEN IN ONE NIGHT
A 23-year-old mentally-challenged woman was on Wednesday night gang raped by three men in Hatcliffe.
The three lured the woman to their crime scenes by pretending they wanted to help her.
The first man met the woman at about 1900hrs near Alpha Shopping Centre.
He lured her to a bushy area where he raped her several times without protection.
The second man pretended that he wanted to help her to get home.
Instead, he took her to his house where he raped her.
The third man pounced as she was trying to make her way home.
He raped her.
“This rape case came to light when she was questioned by her guardian about where she had slept,” a resident of the area told H-Metro.
“She narrated the case to her and we are suspecting that the perpetrators are friends considering the way she narrated her ordeal.
“The woman was reported to have told her guardian that she was going to attend a church service in the company of her neighbour.
“As residents we are blaming this woman’s guardian who left her attending a church service alone in the evening.
“She usually accompanies her to church.”
