The Zimbabwe Republic Police Kadoma District has rewarded thirty-three police officers for hard work and excellence on duty during the District First Quarter (2026) Award Ceremony held in Kadoma recently.
Addressing the ceremony, Officer Commanding Police Mashonaland West, Commissioner Nyazema, who was the Guest of Honour, reminded officers that the first quarter awards event was not finish line but was a challenge to keep going, improving, lifting others and giving others a challenge to work harder to make a mark before the next event.
“Policing is hard work and excellence is shown by presenting courage to work under pressure, honesty when no-one is watching and providing service to the community. Excellence is contagious, when one officer handles a situation with professionalism, it raises the bar of the whole shift, station province and the whole nation.
“At the same time, we must always remember that the community depends on us, let’s continue the hard work to reduce fear of crime in the district and the province and remember, all of us will leave this place with one purpose that is to serve with honor, protect without fear or favor and uphold the law with the dignity it deserves.
“The machete-wielding gangs terrorizing the community must be a thing of the past
To the awardees, the services you exhibited over the last three months will go a long way being cherished as it clearly shows that you kept your communities safe, and remember that it is not the finish line but a challenge to keep going, improving lifting others as you go and giving others a challenge to work harder. The certificate and prizes is a recognition that your actions were above standards,” said Officer Commanding Police Mashonaland West Commissioner Nyazema.
