Chegutu Pirates Football Club head coach Paul Chimalizeni has departed after securing a similar role at Grand Legacy Fc
At Grand Legacy, Chimalizeni replaces Willard Katsande, who obtained a lucrative offer at FC Oden
Chegutu Pirates Secretary General Ronald Makaza confirmed that they have parted ways with Chimalizeni.
“Its true Chimalizeni has unceremoniously left but we are on the ground drafting contractual agreement with Wellington Shangiwa.
In his farewell message, Chimalizeni expressed gratitude to the entire Chegutu Pirates family for their unmatched and exceptional support.
“I’m writing to let you know that I’m leaving Chegutu Pirates for Grand Legacy.”
” It’s hard to part ways with the black and white jersey, but I will carry the spirit of Chegutu Pirates in my heart.”

The unceremonious departure of Chimalizeni came after the exodus of captain Gift Mwminga, pacy winger Harzem Bonomali and Midfielder Salif Cheya.
With unconfirmed reports that a number of palyers are likely to follow Chimalizeni, Pirates, currently sitting precariously on 16th position on the NRSL log table, need to work hard to remain afloat as any slip means they plunge into relagation zone
