International Day Of Solidarity With The People Of Palestine Commemorated

As Israel forces continue atrocities against the people of Palestine, Zimbabwe and other states in Africa stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people to loud their voices in stopping Israeli from killing innocent Palestinians.

On Friday 29 November, Palestine Embassy in conjunction with Women Writers Support Network convened a meeting at the State of Palestine Embassy in Harare to celebrate International Day Of Solidarity with Palestinian people. The Palestine war has turned 76 years since Israel occupational forces have been trying to occupy Gaza and other towns in Palestine.

“We shall not fold our hands and watch Israel invading our own motherland, they (Israel occupational forces) have killed, displaced, incarcerated our innocent people, they’re bombing hospitals, schools killing innocent children, medical staff , teachers and journalists.

“We call upon United Nations to hold Israel accountable for all these crimes and take legal international decision and deal with them,” said Tarmer Almassri, Ambassador for Palestine in Zimbabwe.

The occasion was graced by senior government officials,  ZANU PF officials who among them was Advocate Fortune Chasi (former energy minister), women’ s organizations, Citizens Against Economic Sanctions (CAES) leadership and journalists from different media houses.
