Guruve Community Says Serial Killer Zvitsva’s Photo Doesn’t Match

The Guruve community says the photo circulated by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) of suspected serial killer Anymore Zvitsva, aka Modho, is incorrect.

Locals who grew up with Zvitsva told ZiFM Stereo News that the picture does not match the man they know. One community member said the real Zvitsva has a scar on his left cheek and is slightly lighter in complexion.

This has raised questions about why the police released the wrong image and whether they might be searching for the wrong person. Who provided the photo currently being circulated?

Another concern is that Zvitsva reportedly has a broken hand, though the cause of the injury is unknown. People are asking how he could carry out such violent crimes with a broken hand.

Zvitsva is said to be targeting widows’ households and allegedly has a list of over 100 widows, along with 50 other potential victims.

Despite heavy police deployments in the area, including sniffer dogs and drones, Zvitsva’s attacks continue.
