The Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) Forward in Faith International Ministries has released the funeral program for the late Archbishop Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti, the esteemed founder and leader of the organization.
The program, announced by the ZAOGA EXECUTIVE and National Council on July 6, marks the passing of a spiritual giant who departed for greater glory on July 5, 2023, just two months after celebrating his 100th birthday.
In honor of Archbishop Prof E.H. Guti’s extraordinary life and immeasurable contributions, the ZAOGA community will embark on a 30-day Celebration (mourning) period from July 6, 2023, to August 5, 2023. Drawing inspiration from Deuteronomy 34:8, which recounts the mourning period for Moses, this time will allow the faithful to reflect on the profound impact Archbishop Guti had on their lives.

During this commemorative period, all conferences, Provincial Council Meetings, District Council Meetings, Seminars, tournaments, and similar activities will be temporarily suspended. However, gatherings for prayer, such as the beloved Tuesday Ladies prayer meetings, will continue to provide solace and strength to the church and its members.
The church encourages its followers to come together in their respective localities, offering prayers for the steadfastness of Mother Prof Eunor Guti and the Guti family, as well as for the wider church community.
In a bid to ensure the smooth coordination of events, the church advised congregants not to travel to Harare for the celebrations until the date of the grand celebrations is officially communicated.

RE: Archbishop Prof E H Guti’s Life Celebrations -Guidelines Greetings to you in the name of our soon-coming Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To mark and honor the promotion of our father to greater glory on the 5th of July 2023, the ZAOGA EXECUTIVE and National Council at its meeting of the 6th of July 2023, made the following resolutions;
1.That there be a 30-day Celebration (mourning) period from 6 July 2023 to 5 August 2023. “And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended” (Deut 34:8).
2.During this period, all conferences, Provincial Council Meetings, District Council Meetings, Seminars, tournaments and such other activities have been suspended save for gatherings where people will be meeting for prayer such as the Tuesday Ladies prayer meetings
3.The church is encouraged to meet in their respective places, praying for the strengthening of our Mother Prof Eunor Guti and Family, the church at large and encouraging each other through testimonies of how their lives have been impacted by the teachings of our father. “For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.” (Acts 15:21).
4.You are all advised not to travel to Harare for these celebrations until the grand celebrations date has been communicated
5.AII communication in connection with these celebrations (mourning) will be on official ZAOGA FIF Letterhead, duly signed by authorized personnel and date stamped.
