Citizens Coalition For Change leader and candidate for the forthcoming general harmonised elections has declared that if the outcome of the disqualification of his candidates in Bulawayo is upheld, then the country is headed for anarchy.

Advocate Nelson Chamisa said this while addressing thousands of his supporters in Kadoma on Thursday afternoon.

Justice Nokuthula Moyi sitting in the High Court in Bulawayo handed the judgement on behalf of Justice Bongani Ndlovu saying that the 12 Citizen Coalition For Change and other opposition candidates had filed their nomination papers after close of the deadline on 21 June, thereby giving Zanu PF’s 12 candidates victory unopposed.

However Advocate said no-one must be disqualified from contesting the elections.

“I’ve recieved a call from Bulawayo that Munangagwa has approached certain places or courts and tried to bar Citizens Coalition For Change candidates from contesting in this year elections. No-one is disqualified by anyone, if that happens then the elections will have been nullified and drive the country into anarchy. I will be going to Bulawayo soon,” said the charismatic opposition leader.

The affected contenders in Bulawayo constituencies are Surrender Kapaikala(Byo central), Minenhle Ntandoyenkosi Gumede (Byo North), Nicola Watson (Byo South), Raphael Sibanda (Cowdray Park), Collins Discent Bajila (Emakhandeni/Luveve), Tshuma Dingilizwe (Entumbane/Njube), Prince Dube (Entumbane/Njube), Dereck Gono (Lobengula/Magwegwe), Desmond Makaza (Mpopoma/Mzilikazi), Obert Manduna (Nketa),Desire Moyo(Nkulumane), Soneni Moyo (Pelandaba/Tshabalala), Gift Siziba(Pelandaba/Tshabalala), Sichelisile Mahlangu (Pumula) and Albert Mhlanga(Pumula).

Adv Chamisa said his party is ready to form the next mean-and-lean government of less than 15 ministries and were ready to deliver.

“We are the next government and ours will be a mean and lean government of not more than 15 ministries. We are going to restore the rule of law and separate the government from the party. That is patocracy, not what Zanu PF is doing to the country,” said Adv Chamisa amid thunderous cheers from the party’s supporters.

Adv Chamisa urged Kadoma to look into the future and choose their destiny.

“So this year’s elections is between hope and doom, light and darkness, courage and fear. I have seen that you’ve made a choice for Ngaapinde Hake Mukomana,” said Adv Chamisa.

The Citizen Coalition For Change leader said that his government will adopt the use of US dollar until the economy has been turned around.

He said Zimbabwe must restore its number one status in products production which will be boost the country’s economy.

He also said his government will revamp the education sector and introduce an examination-free system.
