MAMBAS FACE IN-FORM PIRATES

THE race for the Runyararo Northern Region Division One gets to another level as log leaders Black Mambas, face in-form Pirates in a top of the table match scheduled at Pfupajena stadium in Chegutu on Saturday.
Soccer supporters are expecting fireworks as both sides need nothing short of victory to keep their quest for promotion alive with just two points separating them, hosts Chegutu pirates will be hoping to end the day at the summit of the log standings.
Black Mambas must show fighting character for them to defeat their nearest rivals in pursuit of a return to premier league , but a trip to Chegutu would be a mountain to climb for the police officers.
“Warumwa Warumwa” have never beaten” Dzinza “at Pfupajena which gives the hosts an advantage in Saturday’s match and come victorious. This match could also determine the champions-elect for the ongoing season.
The two teams’ last matches of the season will see Pirates play Herentals under 19 at home while Mambas travel to Bindura to face Trojan mine FC.
Pirates chairperson, Tapiwa Ngara said the team is not going to let the championship title slip away.
“It’s a must win match. Not only that we must win this game but we are playing at home and our fans need nothing but three points. We want to finish the season on top,” Ngara said.
The club chairperson promised not to disappoint the community of Chegutu.
“Mambas is a good side and we know they will come with all they have to win it, but we won’t make it easy for them.” Continued Ngara.
The technical team and the boys are up to the task to collect three points and that’s our aim,” he added.
He further call upon all soccer loving people in Mashonaland West province to come and support their team on Saturday.
