Founder Of Acacia Sports Academy Partners With Stakeholders And Legislatures In Fighting Drug Abuse

Ishmael Mlambo, the founder and director for Acacia Sports Academy has gone the extra mile by fulfilling President Mnangagwa mantra ” Let’s Fight Drug and Substance Abuse in Zimbabwe” by partnering with government officials and other business gurus.
Drug and substance abuse is a cause for concern in Zimbabwe that has seen young people getting involved in this scourge. High rise in deaths and criminal activities due to drug and substance abuse amongst youths and other adults is now an order of the day in the country.
President Mnangagwa is championing the fight against the scourge of drug abuse. Ishmael Mlambo has supported the President by doing a nationwide drug and substance abuse awareness campaigns that will cover all 10 provinces in the country.
The ObserverZim spoke to some of the stakeholders who partnered with Mr Mlambo.
“We have been supporting this initiative that Mr Mlambo came out with in fighting this scourge, we have been sponsoring the sports tournament organized by Mlambo and provided T’shirts, water, food, trophies and transport to make these tournaments successful,” said Primus Energy director Mr Dunmore Mutyambizi.
Mr Mutyambizi said as Primus Energy they will continue supporting President Mnangagwa’s mantra of fighting drug and substance abuse by supporting Mlambo’s awareness campaigns to end drug abuse. Primus Energy is headquartered in Harare and has branches across the country.
Marondera Central councilor ward 10 Maida Marozwa also spoke to this publication and said they accepted to partner with Mlambo in fighting this serious drug menance amongst youths by providing all necessary support of their efforts to end this menance.
Mr Mlambo said he is grateful for the support he is getting from other partners like Hillybare director L Makirimani , Tinmac Motors director Honourable Tino Machakaire and other Members of Parliament who have shown willingness in partnering with him like Mabvuku Member of Parliament Honourable Scott Sakupwanya, Hunyani Constituency Member of Parliament Honourable Tongai Mnangagwa, Murewha West legislator Honourable Farai Jere, Marondera East Honourable Mutokonyi together with ZANU PF national chairman and Defence Minister Honourable Oppah Muchinguri.
“We hold differen sports tournaments to keep youths occupied so that they desist from taking drugs. Those who excel in these sporting disciplines are awarded with prizes to motivate them. We have survivors of drugs who we rehabilitated through sports,” added Mlambo.
Mlambo has been very instrumental in youth mobilization in support of President Mnangagwa in the 2023 harmonized elections which the President won against all presidential contestants.
Mlambo concluded by saying that they will always continue supporting the President and have been invited to two thank you rallies scheduled for Saturday 6 April 2024, in Gutu’s two constituencies.
