PREPARATIONS for ZANU PF National People’s Conference are at an advanced stage, with organisers confident of meeting the deadlines.

Contractors working at the Midlands Provincial Convention Centre which will host this year’s ZANU PF National People’s Conference are working round the clock to ensure the venue is ready for the annual indaba.

“I am glad to announce that we are now at 65 to 70 % complete. We have managed to identify the right people for specific tasks and everything is going according to plan. As Midlands, we will manage to host a memorable conference and all I can say is that we are indeed ready,” said ZANU PF Midlands Provincial Chairman, Cde Larry Mavima.

Midlands Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Honourable Owen Ncube gave an insight into the ground that has been covered so far.

“I am glad that we have managed to secure accommodation at the Midlands State University as well as Mkoba Teacher’s College. Some of the delegates will be housed in local hotels and some accommodation has been secured in Kwekwe and Zvishavane. We have some local businesspeople who have volunteered to help in sprucing up the venue. Everything is going on very well,” he said.

The ZANU PF National People’s Conference will be held from the 27th to the 28th of this month, with delegates expected in Gweru on the 26th. ZBC
